Preview: Miners take on UT Longhorns

AUSTIN, Texas – The Miners kick off the second half of the 3-game road trip tonight in Austin, Texas. The Miners will face off against the UT Longhorns at 8:50pm CT. This is game one of the two game series. Game 2 will be played, Saturday at 4pm CT. You can watch both games on Black Dog Hockey.
 
Miners vs Longhorns
Earlier this month, the Miners and Longhorns met at the El Paso County Events Center were the Miners swept the Longhorns. Just behind the Miners in 3rd place in the South Division of TCHC, the Longhorns are currently 12-4 in conference play.
 
Scouting the Longhorns
Texas Longhorns is led by Center Garrett Cox who has 44 points this season. Cox leads with 26 goals and 18 assists. Sean Kuehn has logged 660 minutes in net for the Longhorns. Kuehn has allowed 43 goals, 3.91 per game and has 171 saves this season.

The Miners will play host to the East Texas Baptist University Tigers in their final home stand of the season, February 2nd and 3rd at the El Paso County Events Center.
