Canadian defenseman joins Miner roster.

Join us in welcoming the newest addition to the Miners Hockey Club roster, freshman Dalton Monaghan from Burlington, Ontario, Canada.
“Dalton will add even more depth to our blueline. He’s a very experienced junior hockey player and we are looking to him to solidify our blueline this season. With the amount of new players, we have on the roster this season, we will also look for him to be a leader both on and off the ice,” said Coach Herman on the addition of Monaghan.

Why did you choose UTEP? 
I chose UTEP because I feel like it’s going to be a good life experience playing hockey and going to school in another country.
What are you looking forward to most about coming to UTEP?
I'm looking forward to continuing my school and hockey career with great group of teammates.
What has been your favorite moment of your hockey career so far?
My favorite moment was travelling Europe during my midget season.

Erik Karlsson
What is your favorite activity outside of hockey?
My favorite activity outside of hockey would be playing golf and going fishing.
