Miner center returns for sophomore season.

Lukas Znosko will return to center ice for his sophomore season. The center played a vital role both on and off the ice serving as alternative captain for the Miners during the inaugural season. During the 2015-16 season Znosko lead the team with 61 points (36G, 25A) in 22 games.

Znosko will once again help the Miners as they begin their quest to win the inaugural Texas Collegiate Hockey Conference championship title. “Being a first year program we had to battle through some ups and downs but I feel we delivered a product that the University and fans can be proud of. I'm most excited about getting out and playing in front of the best fans in the hockey world. I'm excited for the team we're putting together and to play in the TCHC and put together another great season,” said Znosko.

Coach Herman commented on Znosko’s first season, “Lukas is an exciting player that works very hard and has a knack for scoring goals. He will once again be looked at as a leader both offensively and defensively. Excited to see him on the ice next season.”

When Znosko isn’t scoring goals for the Miners, he can be found in the classroom working towards his degree in Kinesiology.
